The Green Party welcomes Hull City Supporters’ Trust
Mike Lammiman, speaking for Hull and East Riding Green Party, said today,
“The Green Party believes that professional sporting clubs are an important part of our local community (1), and so we welcome the formation of the Hull City Supporters’ Trust.”
The HCST has its inaugural meeting tonight.
“We congratulate them on the progress made to date in requesting and attaining Asset of Community Value status for KC stadium (2) the home of Hull City AFC, and in campaigning to preserve the historic name of the club (3).
“The recently awarded television rights will see Hull City AFC listed amongst the richest football clubs in the world (4).
“We urge Dr Assem Allam and Mr Ehab Allam to concentrate their efforts on developing Hull City AFC into a sustainable football club and to work with the Supporters’ Trust.”
